"Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and Love."

When I was a child, I asked my grandma to stepdance with me in the kitchen and she did. She made me sandwiches for breakfast, put them on the top of the convector to make them hot and crisp and brought them into bed for me. She let me eat the rest of hot pudding out of the pot and didn't say my stomach would hurt as my mother always did.

My other grandma arranged a soup eating contest for us, her grandchildren every time we spent the weekend at hers. The one who had eaten the soup the fastest, usually won a bar of chocolate that was called as "premium" by grandma. She let us spend the whole night in our secret shelter we built up in the middle of the living room. She dressed up pretty and put some lipstick on even when she just popped off for a short to do the daily shopping. She read out folk-tales, taught me how to play Dama, how to solve crosswords, how to decide what's wrong and what isn't, how to choose and how to forgive.
